Introduction to fog lamp structure

In addition to the front high beam, low beam, headlights, and small lights, a typical car also has a set of anti fog lights in inconspicuous places at the back of the car, including the driving lights and brake lights. Rear fog lights for vehicles refer to red signal lights installed at the rear of vehicles in low visibility environments such as fog, rain, or dust, with a higher luminous intensity than taillights, to make it easier for other road traffic participants behind the vehicle to detect.

Installed at a slightly lower position than the headlights in the front of the car, it is used to illuminate the road during rainy and foggy weather. Due to low visibility in foggy weather, the driver's line of sight is restricted. Lights can increase the running distance, especially the yellow fog lights have strong light penetration, which can improve the visibility of drivers and surrounding traffic participants, allowing incoming vehicles and pedestrians to discover each other from a distance.

classification

Anti fog lights are divided into front fog lights and rear fog lights. Front fog lights are generally bright yellow, while rear fog lights are red. The logo of the rear fog lamp is slightly different from that of the front fog lamp. The light line of the front fog lamp logo is downward, while that of the rear fog lamp is parallel and usually located on the dashboard inside the car. Due to its high brightness and strong penetration, anti fog lights do not produce diffuse reflections due to fog, so proper use can effectively prevent accidents from occurring. In foggy weather, the front and rear fog lights are usually used together.
